For Ahold Delhaize, expansion is always within reach as the retailer now targets South Carolina as the next market. Recently Aholds Banner, Food Lion, opened its doors in the new regionand continues to build its footprint on the east coast.
In November 2020, Food Lion acquired the Cayce, South Carolina site as part of the company Purchase of 62 BI-LO / Harveys supermarkets. According to The Lexington ledger, The new store will be run by around 75 team membersand brings a new fleet of buy-side leaders to the sector. Tim Smith, a native of Southern Congo, has been named manager of the business.
Customers can choose from one extensive product rangeThese include takeaway meals, hand-whipped fried chicken, and 100% USDA Choice fresh beef. The store also offers a variety of beef, pork, poultry, milk, eggs and other Food Lion’s Nature’s Promise branded items.
