Antz Innovations wins the title for its innovations in the use of lenses in printing. As Antz’s Chitti Babu told PrintWeek, the company is always looking for new opportunities and is always on the way to exploring creative ways to implement unique ideas.
In the first example, 3D lenticular digital printing, a high quality 3D illusion effect was implemented on a printed portrait with a massive attractive appearance. It was a challenging task when Antz created this image for 3D to get a crystal clear result on one print.
In the second sample, the morphing effect was used exclusively in print media, where each point of two different images was precisely marked to achieve the morphing effect.
In the poster for the Tamil film Kaappaan, two types of effects were embedded in a single print, combining 3D and flip animation to claim mass attraction. It was a challenging task to implement two effects in a single print and Antz did it successfully.
The Blink Off campaign posters for JWT, which were honored during Cannes Lions 2019, are 30 “by 20” and were printed on a 20 lpi sheet.
Software called Lentricks was used to merge the two images, and the resulting image was printed directly onto lens sheets on an Epson printer.
