MEIGS COUNTY – A second round of applications is accepted for the Meigs County Armed Forces Banner Project.

The first banners, 324 of them, were hung in Meigs County villages earlier this year to honor Meigs County’s veterans and active service members.

Now the organizers are accepting requests for additional banners in the county.

Applications can be found on the Meigs County Armed Forces Banner Project Facebook page or at the Farmers Bank.

Applications and documents must be received by August 1, 2021 for the new round of banners. Items can be emailed to banners4meigsvets@gmail.com or taken to any Farmers Bank location and they will assist in sending the items via email.

A fundraising project is currently underway to cover the cost of the new banners.

Mini-banners are available until June 14th. Orders for the banners can be placed at www.skylinebowl.com/store.html or by calling 740-416-1872.
