Business Printer Turns into First in Boston Metro Space to Set up An Océ VarioPrint i300

MELVILLE, NY – January 25, 2019 – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canon USA, Inc., announced Massachusetts-based Goodway Group as the first commercial printer in metropolitan Boston, Massachusetts to install an Océ VarioPrint i300 inkjet printing machine. Almost six months after installation, the company reported excellent levels of productivity, lower operating costs, and new opportunities for business growth.

With a reputation for spotting industry trends and integrating the latest technologies and innovative solutions to meet the changing business needs of their customers, the Goodway Group sought the Océ VarioPrint i300 inkjet press. Goodway Group had the opportunity to see the Océ VarioPrint i300 inkjet press in action at Canon Solutions America’s Customer Experience Center in Boca Raton, Florida. She was impressed not only with their speed, quality and efficiency, but also with the technology that combines the reduced costs of inkjet with the media and application flexibility of sheetfed production. The company saw immediate improvements in availability, application diversity, and productivity. Since installation, the Goodway Group has achieved uptime in excess of 95%.

Mike Jenoski, President and CEO of the Goodway Group

“As one of the early adopters of digital technology in Boston, we are proud to be the first in the region to acquire this breakthrough technology,” said Mike Jenoski, president and CEO of the Massachusetts-based Goodway Group. “It has added great value to our company and our customers in a short period of time. Feedback from our customers on the quality of the prints has been overwhelmingly positive and our ability to print high volumes of impressions has increased exponentially, our ability to do the work.” Moving toner devices to the i300 and saving a significant amount of operating costs. ”

The Océ VarioPrint i300 offers the Goodway Group an automated workflow and extremely intuitive operation, ideal for companies that want to increase flexibility, expand the application mix, take on more digital work and take advantage of the versatility. Since the introduction of the Océ VarioPrint i300, the Goodway Group has opened the doors to even wider business opportunities. Before installing the inkjet press, the company received a large project for a national customer, but it was limited by the speed and capacity of older toner machines in the company’s printing fleet. With the Océ VarioPrint i300, the Goodway Group was able to almost triple its capacity and switch from a small provider to a go-to provider that is equipped for new and more demanding applications. According to Jenoski, the Goodway Group was able to plan with the Océ VarioPrint i300 and rely on the fact that it can handle large-volume inquiries and complex applications – and with profitable performance.

“We are excited to celebrate a customer who has always been committed to change and exploring new possibilities in our inkjet technologies,” said Francis McMahon, executive vice president of Production Solutions Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “In a short amount of time, the Océ VarioPrint i300 has demonstrated its capabilities and we are confident that it will help Massachusetts-based Goodway Group stay competitive in the marketplace and improve their day-to-day printing.”
