Display printing store provides to rising downtown Gustine | Particular Options

GUSTINE – Four of Hearts, a new screen printing company, has set up shop in downtown Gustine and offers a range of bespoke clothing items.

Jonathan Flanagan, who owns the business with his wife Natalie Flanagan, has been screen printing t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other clothing for more than 10 years.

“I started out as a temporary worker for Kenny Shepard, making sponsor t-shirts for the Save Mart Center in Fresno,” said the former Merced resident. “I’ve pretty much always done screen printing.”

Natalie grew up in Gustine. She is the daughter of Charlotte and Anthony Peters.

“She lived here, I fell in love and we both loved the city,” said Jonathan of the new home of her business. “She’s been watching this place since she was a kid.”

The Flanagans are no strangers to their new surroundings.

“My grandmother worked for Fancy Nancy’s here,” Natalie told Mattos Newspapers. “When Nancy moved out, we got the owner’s number and went the following month.”

The Flanagans received their keys on June 1st and quickly got to work.

“We had a lot of projects, including painting and new carpets,” said Jonathan. “The biggest part was still placing orders while all of the equipment was being pulled in.”

Four of Hearts is currently selling Gustine Reds clothing and is looking forward to the coming school year.

“I made a lot of group t-shirts for Gustine High,” he noted. “We can also do something that the school may not be able to do.”

In addition to supporting the local high school, the owners of the Four of Hearts have another foundation very close to their hearts – the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Their daughter has the disorder and the whole family is involved in raising funds for cystic fibrosis research. Such efforts include hosting an annual luau, which is one of Gustine’s most popular and supported perks each year.

The company is also offering a 25 percent discount on all shirt orders used for fundraising for cystic fibrosis.

“We also have our own brand, Fight 65,” said Flanagan. “All proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.”

The Four of Hearts owners pride themselves not only on their work, but also on their competitive prices.

Standard T-shirts and T-shirts with specialty inks offer different ordering options.

“It’s about $ 8 to $ 10 a shirt for each order,” said Mr. Flanagan.
