Donna J. Breedlove, 81, of Bluffton, passed away Tuesday morning March 2, 2021 in the River Terrace Retirement Community.
Donna was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on March 12, 1939, to Arthur J. and Anna L. Hesher Earhart. She married Ivan E. Breedlove on June 1, 1959 in Bluffton. He preceded her to her death on March 20, 2019.
A 1957 graduate of Bluffton High School, Donna was a housewife and worked in the Bluffton Progress Store for many years. She later worked at the Pamida department store in Bluffton until it closed. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Bluffton and a former member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sisterhood.
Donna volunteered at the Bargain Hut in Bluffton for several years. She enjoyed genealogy, traveled the country with Ivan, and especially attended her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Survivors include two sons, Tim (Sarah) Breedlove from Huntington and Ron (Kim) Breedlove from Uniondale; a stepsister, Jan Anderson of Bluffton; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter, Diann Carroll, died before Donna.
The tour is on Saturday, March 6th, 11am to 1pm at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. The tour is followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. Dr. Bryson E. “Gene” Bell and Adam Carroll to serve. The funeral will take place in Spider Hill Cemetery in Rockford.
