DS Graphics | Universal Wilde was one of the first US customers – and the first in the Northeast – to install Canon Solutions America, Inc.’s Canon ProStream 1800 production inkjet press.
Introduced in July 2020, the ProStream 1800 is the latest addition to the Canon ProStream 1000 series.
“When we heard about the recently announced ProStream press, we knew it would be the perfect addition to our new state-of-the-art facility and will have a huge impact on our customer service and overall communications optimization,” said Chris Wells, Executive Vice President, DS Graphics / Universal Wilde. “With the ProStream 1800, we have eliminated the need to stop production when switching between different page lengths, thus ensuring a seamless changeover. This gives our operators additional flexibility and ease of use and helps us to close the quality gap. Speed and format. “
The ProStream press also prints up to 12 point items, a key feature for direct mail, self-mailers and postcards, a key growth target for DS Graphics | Universal savage.
“Our customers are seeing better direct mail returns than ever before in this pandemic,” Wells said. “It’s clear that our customers are suffering from digital fatigue, so it’s exciting to get something in the mail again.”
