Fujifilm Pronounces New Acuity Prime Flatbed Printer

FUJIFILM North American Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, today announced the newly developed Acuity Prime flatbed printer that prints with exceptional quality on a range of rigid and flexible media. The Acuity Prime is designed with efficiency in mind and features a high quality LED curing system that is air cooled and only requires a single phase 25A supply to maintain efficiency.

A new ink system ?? FUJIFILM Uvijet HM ?? was developed to ensure excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates while also producing a wide color space. The new ink palette is optimized to consistently produce high quality, vivid images. A new jetting primer further improves the adhesion for particularly demanding substrates, eliminates the need for offline pretreatment of the substrates before printing and saves time and money. The Acuity Prime also has a printable area of 1.2 mx 2.40 m and can accommodate media up to 5 cm thick.

Available in CMYK formats with white and additional clear and jetting primers, the Acuity Prime with FUJIFILM Uvijet HM ink offers the ultimate in versatility and value by giving print companies the flexibility to customize them to suit their own needs. The most important convenience features include the media registration pens, which can be operated at the push of a button and enable precise media placement and exceptionally precise print registration from order to order. The five dedicated vacuum zones, based on common media sizes, significantly reduce the amount of masking required. This enables quick media changes and shortens job set-up times. The Acuity Prime splash-free ink bag system is designed for easy bag change and has an LED lighting system that quickly and effectively alerts the operator to low ink levels.

In addition to the completely new technical features, the Acuity Prime also offers practical advantages such as an integrated tray for operator tools, which makes it possible to keep them close at hand but safely away from moving parts of the printer. There is also tight access to a cabinet built into the space under the front of the Prime for convenient storage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and personal items and to keep the area around the printer clear. The software and the user interface have also been carefully updated to provide the operator with a variety of functional solutions in the simplest possible way.

?? The Acuity Prime represents a ?? next step ?? for Fujifilm. It builds on our knowledge and expertise, but at the same time is something fundamentally new ?? “the new blueprint for large format,” said Ramona Serafino, Associate Product Marketing Manager, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. What sets it apart from previous products is the amount of creative freedom we have had in every aspect of its design and development. This level of control has given us the ability to ensure that the end product offers unbeatable standards of performance; exceptional value, versatility and ease of use, and the best ROI on the market. ??
