HP targets SMBs to reinforce PC and printer market share in India

US-based PC and printer major HP goes beyond products to help Indian SMBs invest in digital media to revive their business in 2021, IANS reported.
More than 73 percent of SMEs in India are confident that they will recover from the pandemic. 75 percent of companies believe digital adoption is critical to their success, according to the recently released HP SMB Outlook 2020 Report.

Sanjeev Pathak, Head of Personal Systems (Commercial) at HP India, said that in light of the capital crisis and the increasing need for IT infrastructure for SMBs, the company introduced practical models of leasing models (Device as a Service, or DaaS) from our business-ready laptop -Line.

Rather than burdening them with high capital expenditures, small business owners and entrepreneurs can benefit from a very low per-seat expense that spans three to four years, said Pathak.

According to Canalys, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple and Acer are the top five PC brands in the world in the fourth quarter of 2020. Lenovo is the world’s leading PC brand, according to the latest Canalys report.

Several other simple financing models are available from HP’s financial partners, according to the news report.

HP’s financial partners have launched attractive financing offers that allow SMBs to purchase business laptops from just Rs 899 per month. In this way, they can upgrade and expand their IT infrastructure and save their funds for other business priorities.

Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has doubled the allocation from the previous year to 15,700 rupees to strengthen the MSME sector, confirming the government’s focus on developing infrastructures and skills that will bring short and long-term benefits to the Indian economy and Population will have.

HP is introducing several measures to make it easier for small businesses and entrepreneurs to adopt technology. These include new product lines such as the recently introduced HP ProBook 635 Aero G7.

HP has teamed up with AMD to create the world’s lightest AMD-based business notebook specifically for SMBs and entrepreneurs.

The ProBook 635 Aero G7 has several features that improve connectivity, security, and mobility for MSME users.
