L + L printer, a commercial printer based on the west coast, has introduced the new HP Indigo 15K Digital Press technology to expand digital possibilities with an expanded range of applications including specialty packaging options.
L + L, based in San Diego, serves as the worldwide beta test site for the HP Indigo 15K, the latest in the 29-inch HP Indigo Series 4 sheetfed platform. The press was developed to meet the most diverse customer requirements in a highly productive manner.
L + L Digital will leverage the new HP Indigo 15K features such as expanded support for thick substrates for high-growth segments such as digitally printed packaging, as well as image quality improvements for offset-matching quality printing.

The 60-year-old commercial printer introduced HP Indigo digital printing in 2006 and offers innovative printing to a strong clientele in advertising agencies and marketing departments. L + L has further developed its digital activities with the indigo 5000 series, 7000 series, 10000 series and now 15K.

After installing it last month, the HP Indigo 15K was up and running within a week.
The HP Indigo 15K Digital Press offers higher offset digital print quality and versatility with substrate range up to 24 pt, and enables virtually endless substrate types, including cardboard, black and color, synthetic and metal.
The press also supports 14 application-specific inks and unlimited spot colors. The new inks include ElectroInks Premium White and Invisible Yellow. The HP Indigo 12000 can be upgraded to many new features of the HP Indigo 15K.
L + L will also upgrade to the high-performance print server PrintOS Production Pro for Commercial to enable processing of variable data at higher speeds. The press also has a new version of Automatic Alert Agent, which monitors the quality of every sheet printed and removes errors from the print run.
