Braintree Printing (Braintree, MA) began in 1982 as a high-speed retail printer. The company has retained the same management and ownership for nearly four decades. “About 20 years ago we made our decision to become commercial printers,” said Jim Corliss, owner and co-founder of Braintree Printing. “Now about 90% of our products are being resold by other printers and print brokers.” Braintree Printing serves trade in New Jersey, New York, and New England. “We defined our marketing scope in terms of shipping,” said Corliss, a US Army veteran and resident of Milton, MA. “All of these areas are a day ship – at ground prices – from our location.” The company operates two Xerox iGen 150 presses – more than 2 million digital pages are produced monthly according to Corliss – and several Ryobi 23 “x 29” five-color presses. “The combination of strong digital and strong offset together with our robust bookbinding makes it possible
