Philadelphia Phillies to honor native frontline employees with Residents Financial institution Park banners

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – The Philadelphia Phillies will once again honor frontline heroes for their victims during the pandemic this season.

The team is dedicating the street banners around Citizens Bank Park to honor 41 key local workers.

“Awardees selected for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be invited to a photo shoot at Citizens Bank Park for their official Frontline Hero banner, which will be displayed in time for the Phillies Home Opener Thursday April 1st,” the Phillies said in one Statement on Thursday.

The team says the frontline Heroes to be nominated include (but are not limited to) local health workers, first responders, law enforcement officers, plumbing workers, grocery store workers, delivery staff, teachers, volunteers, and other key personnel.

To nominate a Frontline employee, fans must upload a video to Phillies.com/frontlineheroes letting the Phillies know about their candidate and why he / she should be selected for the opportunity.

The deadline is February 13th.
