Printing agency relocates after new funding deal

A printing company in Shrewsbury has upgraded its facilities and moved to larger trading rooms following a financing deal.

Creative Digital Printing Solutions (CDPS), which was acquired by leading printing company KJB Group in March 2017, designs and manufactures a range of bespoke marketing and branding printing products for global brands such as Muller and The Morris Group, as well as more than 2,000 SMBs across the world Shropshire.

The five-digit finance deal signed by Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s West Midlands team has enabled the company to move to a 4,000-square-foot office and adjacent manufacturing facility in Shrewsbury’s Battlefield Enterprise Park. The company needed the extra space after growing out of its previous base.

The move will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities and comes at a time when the company is focused on doubling its production in order to increase sales.

The funding has also enabled CPDS to invest in new software such as 3D graphic modeling of point-of-sale products and additional state-of-the-art large format printing and cutting machines to expand its specialized on-demand digital printing service. The company hopes this will lead to 25% growth in business.

Stephen Egerton, Director of Creative Digital Printing Solutions, said, “Moving to the new premises was a natural step for us to accommodate new machines and our growing workforce. As demand gradually outstrips supply, we also had to increase our manufacturing capacity so that the company could realize its full potential.

“Funding from Lloyds Bank has given us the firepower to increase our product offerings, customer satisfaction and overall business growth.”

Abigail Holloway, Relationship Manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said, “Creative Digital Printing Solutions is a developing company with strong strategic investment and growth plans. At a time when increasing digitalization is affecting the printing industry, the team is adopting new technology and expanding its resources to maximize growth. “
