Rubis Energy Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to the market by transferring and renaming the acquired Gulf Energy and KenolKobil filling stations to the Rubis banner.

Rubis Energy Kenya Group’s Managing Director – East Africa, Jean-Christian Bergeron, said the nationwide renaming of the 220 filling stations will ensure the sustainable accessibility of Rubis products.

“We have a strong network of over 1,065 filling stations worldwide and hope to be able to introduce more of our products and services to Kenyan customers through the filling stations. As part of our strategy of establishing our presence in the country, we would like to meet our customers’ needs for mobility, heating and cooking through our filling stations, ”said Bergeron.

Mr. Bergeron added that Rubis’ strategy is to gradually bring the entire network of acquired gas stations under one brand, while adhering to international standards for safety and environmentally friendly practices.

“We are working on innovative concepts to satisfy the needs and wishes of customers on the go. These include additional services related to mobility, high quality hotspots and fast food services, shops with a modular approach and fuel cards for motor vehicles that offer exclusive offers and services to promote customer loyalty, ”said Bergeron.

In addition to refueling and waiting, customers will soon be able to shop and eat at all subsidiaries of Rubis, KenolKobil and Gulf Energy.

As part of its diversification strategy, Rubis Energy Kenya has partnered with leading retail stores within its gas stations to provide convenience services through restaurants, banking halls, ambulances, garages and ATMs. Last year, Rubis welcomed a partnership with the French-inspired bakery and café brioche in major cities. The oil marketer has also launched its convenience store brand RUBiS Express to provide drivers with first-class convenience while on the move and save time and money.

With the Rubis Card, drivers still have complete control over their fuel costs. In addition to the convenience and efficient payment at petrol stations, the card based on smart card technology offers a convenient bill payment service.

Since its inception, Rubis Energy has allocated $ 900 million for the storage, distribution and sale of petroleum and liquefied natural gas in Kenya over the next five years. The gas stations continue to create 700 job opportunities for Kenyans in all 47 counties. The oil marketer is keen to strengthen its position in the East African region, which continues to experience high economic and demographic growth and sustainably increases the demand for petroleum products.
