“The purchase of the Konica Minolta C8000 is only part of our strategic plan for continued, accelerated growth through 2013. This acquisition positions us well for future success,” said Tom Flottman, CEO of Flottman Company

Flottman Company, a leader in variable data printing, marketing solutions and miniature folding, installed the new Konica Minolta C8000 Bizhub Press – the printing industry’s leading digital press, released at Drupa 2012. On-demand communication and short-term print processing.
The Flottman Company will now be able to offer a variety of new paper stocks, thicker paper weights, more vibrant colors and richer tones with improved print quality. One of the great benefits of upgrading our current Konica Minolta system to this state-of-the-art machine is the reduced learning curve for our entire prepress team. All four of our current press operators will be able to operate the machine after the installation is complete.
Tom Flottman, CEO of the Flottman Company, said: “With this new Digital Konica Minolta Press, we will be able to expand our services and improve our production quality while consolidating our representation as a leading digital printing service provider. With support from the Printing Industry of America, we examined a variety of digital presses over the past year. Ultimately, our previous experience with Konica Minolta and the service offered by Cincinnati’s own ProSource made our decision for us. ”
The Konica Minolta® bizhub Press C8000 is a revolution in digital color printing with an astonishing 1200 DPI resolution and an impressive 4,800 full color pages per hour (80 full color pages per minute). Heavy map material from 15 points can be completely duplexed, whereby the required registration is immediately adjusted in the line. The system includes an integrated touchscreen command center, powerful FIERY print management software, and rip times that are five to ten times faster than our previous press.
Flottman: “The purchase of the Konica Minolta C8000 is only part of our strategic plan for continued, accelerated growth through 2013, which includes the purchase of additional machines, the hiring of qualified personnel and new product offerings, which positions us well for future success.”
