UCHealth, Kaiser Permanente, Banner Well being and plenty of others encouraging individuals to #MaskUp – Greeley Tribune

UCHealth, Kaiser Permanente, and Banner Health are among 100 health systems across the country participating in a campaign to encourage the wear of masks to slow the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These health care providers are promoting this campaign through a hashtag: #MaskUp.

These public service efforts will include news on digital platforms, social media, online information, links to key health resources, and more, according to a joint press release from these health systems.

More than 11.5 million Americans have tested positive for the virus – including another million in the past week – causing nearly 250,000 deaths, according to the press release.

Starting this week, according to a press release, a public service message will be published in the New York Times, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.

For more information on mask guidelines – choosing a mask, properly wearing a mask, and more – see cdc.gov on the CDC website.
